5 Ways of Standing Up
1/1
Commissioned by the New Art Centre, Salisbury, DSDHA collaborated with the leading contemporary ceramic artist Edmund de Waal to construct five individual pavilions incorporating porcelain and which recall a cellar, a clerestory, a foundation, an attic, and a seam.
The pavilions are sited to frame views of the surrounding urban or rural vistas, whilst they radiate light at night by subtly back lighting the pale porcelain.
The pavilions were installed at Somerset House and toured to venues including Chatsworth House and the A Foundation in Liverpool.
